Cable Assembler/Technician

Hayes, Middlesex

A cable assembler/technician is required to work within a production team for a manufacturer of industrial electrical cable assemblies.

Previous experience of working in an electronics environment would be preferred however training will be provided on the job. Candidates may also be required to work extra hours, flexibility is required to allow for this.

• • Ability to understand technical drawings
• • Good hand eye co-ordination
• • Basic Soldering skills

Skills & Experience:

• To build cable assemblies as requested
  To be able to read and comprehend technical drawings
  Following all safety and quality standards
  Responsibility for the quality of your work
  Testing cable assemblies
  Reporting the status of each job / task to line manager if any potential problems arise.
  Repair & solve issues related to assemblies
  Reworking of assemblies
  Maintaining cleanliness of work space
  Operating automated tools & equipment such as:

• • Stripping machines
• • Crimping machines
• • Testing equipment

Training

We will provide the training necessary in order for you to achieve IPC-620 accreditation
