Bimed Standard Series Glands - Plastic
One of the broadest ranges of IP68 polyamide cable glands available on the market today. The glands are produced combing innovative design features and produced using precise manufacturing methods to deliver an EN 50262 product that will provide the right connection for your application.
Product features include no screw clamps to damage cable insulation, a lamellate construction to guarantee equal cable compression and a trapeze thread to eliminate cross threading, other features include:
• Smooth Bore Aesthetic Finish
• Good Temperature Resistance
• Good Cable Protection
• A waterproof Neoprene seal: UL,CSA & VDE approved versions
All of these features combine to deliver a cost effective range of glands that are liquid tight, easy to assemble, offer good strain relief in a wide clamping range and are designed to be easy to handle in a wide variety of applications.

Designed to the same exacting standards as the Plastic Glands this range of IP68 metallic cable glands offers one of the widest ranges on the market today. Manufactured from Nickel plated Brass using modern manufacturing methods to deliver a high quality product that will provide the right protection for your application.

Double Seal Glands
The double seal (DS) range of Brass, Nickel Plated glands constructed with a double seal which provides a wide range of clamping options. Available in both Metric and Pg thread styles this series is offered with a choice of seal to give a choice of operating temperatures.
The standard seal is Nitrile rubber giving an operating temperature of -40 Deg C to + 100 Deg C, in addition to this a special order Silicone rubber seal is available which offer a temperature range of -40Deg C to + 300 Deg C.

EMC Glands

EX Proof Glands
This range has been developed for use with electrical equipment in potentially explosive areas with Atex approval to safety level "e". The product is designed to be used in Petrochemical and off-shore applications as the glands are constructed to offer high impact resistance at lower temperatures.
Metric Thread Ex proof Cable Glands - Plastic
The product is manufactured in black using a special polyamide compound and offers protection to IP68 utilising a Neoprene seal and Atex class EEx e II (increased safety).
Bimed are approved under conformity number ZELM 01 ATEX 0061X
This range is supplied from size M12 through to M40 and is offered in a variety of cable entries.
In addition to the Metric version heat trace version is available with a special silicone seal.
Metric Thread Ex-E Cable Glands - Metallic (Glands for Armoured Cables)
Manufactured in nickel plated brass this range of Ex-E glands are designed and approved for zone 1 usage to connect armoured cables and give protection to IP68 under classes EEx e ll and EExi.

A range of IP68 nickel plated brass Ex-E glands which are designed and approved for usage classes EEx e ll and EExi to connect non armoured cables.

Stainless Steel Glands
Designed for extremely harsh or aggressive environments where a very high level of mechanical resistance is required with the security of an IP68 seal. The range is available in both Metric and Pg thread styles with the body and cap of this gland being offered in either AISI 303 (1.4035) or AISI 316L (1.4404) type stainless steel.
Concentric clamping is achieved by the use of a Polyamide 6 clamping insert with a lamellate construction to guarantee equal cable clamping.

Conduit Fittings
Bimed's range of metallic and PVC conduit fittings are manufactured to compliment the broad range of interconnect products available in the cable gland range.
Metallic Liquid Tight Conduit Fittings
The metallic liquid tight fittings are produced with a grounding ferrule and liquid tight seal. The grounding ferrule enables the maximum surface area contact between the conduit and fitting thus achieving a better seal and grounding. This product is available with NPT, Pg or Metric threads.
This range is available in both straight and right angled versions and features:
• Brass Nickel Plated Body & Cap
• Steel Tin Plated Ferrule
• UL tested to IP68
• Inner seal & Protector manufactured from PA6

Special & Bespoke Cable Glands
In addition to one of the broadest ranges of standard products in the industry Bimed has the ability to design and manufacture bespoke cable glands especially for customer applications.
Many of the products manufactured by Bimed are designed and manufactured for special applications. These custom parts can be produced by either modifying existing injection tools or realising completely new tools.

Special EMC Cable Glands
(with Incorporated Axial Ferrite Beads Inductors)
These cable glands are used when EMI / RFI suppression is required especially for electronic device applications. The interference filter is usually separately added to the existing cable and must be fixed in order to prevent axial movements on the cable.
In this cable gland, the ferrite bead is inserted directly into the gland cap. Hence it s motion is limited by the cap itself. This way, an easy and reliable assembly method is achieved.
The typical impedance values are;
50 - 100 Ώ for 100 MHz applications
40 - 80 Ώ for 25 MHz applications
These values depend on the ferrite core characteristics, hence the bead material can be chosen according to the requirements; Bimed can produce different sizes of glands with different EMI suppression values in relation to the required properties.
